#1 How do FriXion products work?

FriXion ink “erases” due to Pilot’s exclusive thermo-sensitive ink technology. If you need to make corrections on the page, simply “Frixion-It” by rubbing with the FriXion eraser tip as if using a regular pencil eraser.

When rubbing, the ink heats up to over 60°C and becomes invisible. FriXion pens have a special erasing tip which allows the paper to be heated quickly without damaging it.

#2 Experience the thermo-sensitive Ink power!

Write a secret message on a piece of paper.

FriXion it! with the «eraser» on the end of the pen. 

Send it to your friend and ask him to put in the freezer for a few minutes.
The ink will reappear at temperatures under -10°C and your friend will be able to read your secret message!

#3 Why does the ink become transparent?

The technology of FriXion ink.

FriXion ink contains special microcapsules which hold the colour. 

The contents of the microcapsule react to extreme changes in temperature.

#4 FriXion pens hacking for sewing!

This is typically what we call "a hack" as FriXion pens are not considered as tools for sewing. But we have seen that many sewers use them on fabrics and to make sewing patterns for cuttings, marking pleats, notches, drawing out embroidery designs, marking dots for pleating... to be able to make a fine, precise line that is going to completely disappear after ironing. Note that if you don't wash the fabric there is always a risk to see the ink reappears if stored in a cold place (- 10C°).
